AX Events and Din L-Art Ħelwa collaborate to provide stellar venues for any occasion
AX Events and NGO Din L-Art Ħelwa are proud to announce a collaboration that will see a number of exclusive and historic venues made available for use in the events industry.
AX Events are bespoke caterers offering professional service and years of expertise, making any event memorable. Attention to detail and refined service is delivered with integrity, determination, creativity, innovation and personal touch promising an all-round impeccable service complemented with flavourful cuisine.
AX Events always strives to organise memorable events in gorgeous and exclusive settings, which is why it has paired up with heritage NGO, Din L-Art Ħelwa to bring together an all-round service that is unparalleled on the local market.
The venues that are part of the collaboration include a number of iconic historical sites and tucked away gems around the island that are the ideal locations for any occasion, from business launches to wedding celebrations and anything in between.
The first of these exclusive event locations is the majestic Red Tower in Mellieħa. Also known as St Agatha’s Tower, this distinctive watchtower is situated at the crest of Marfa ridge overlooking the popular Għadira Bay, naturally boasting impeccably country and sea views. With such a stunning location, the tower is the ideal venue for intimate weddings, exhibitions and parties, all expertly organised by AX Events.
Formerly the parish church of Gudja and the surrounding villages, Bir Miftuħ is one of the best-preserved examples of medieval architecture, dating to around 1430. Small-scale outdoor functions, of about 150 people, coordinated by AX Events can be held in the quaint garden surrounding the consecrated church, which also allows for the celebration of nuptials. The third venue is Mellieħa’s Torri L-Abjad. It is the sixth of 13 coastal defence towers to have been built and dates back to 1658. Beautifully restored, the Ditch Room is set up with tables and seating areas, perfect for exhibitions and corporate events, hosting up to 500 people in reception style or 250 people seated outdoors to admire the views. The tower is equipped with a viewing terrace and a large platform for events organised al fresco.
Another stunning location, perfect for intimate gatherings is Ta’ Xutu Tower in Qrendi, boasting impressive views of the Mediterranean and Malta’s little sister isle, Filfla. This tower is another of the Knights’ small coastal watch towers located at the stunning Wied iż-Żurrieq and is squarish in shape, consisting of two floors and vaulted ceilings. Having been recently restored, Ta’ Xutu Tower now makes for the ideal location for intimate events, right by the water’s edge.
In addition to the aforementioned stunning locations is Mamo Tower in Marsaskala. Formerly a fortified country residence, the tower is distinctively shaped with sixteen sides, making it a unique venue for an AX Events function. Having been used as protection against invading corsairs, Mamo Tower features a beautiful domed room and an open-plan layout, making it the perfect place for small gatherings: a 100-person standing reception or an intimate seated event of up to 32 people. And finally, Wignacourt Tower in St Paul’s Bay is the first of a number of coastal watch towers dating back to 1610, making the oldest surviving coastal defence post. Boasting impeccable sea views and an outdoor setting, the tower makes for the exquisite setting for small weddings, marriage proposals, small events and exhibitions.
“I am delighted by this collaboration as we not only get to help out such a worthy NGO that holds heritage as a core value, but we also acquire privileged access to such exclusive and impeccable venues to make any event a memorable one,” said Director of Hospitality at AX Group, Ms. Claire Zammit Xuereb.
Parts of proceeds from such events organised with AX Events will go towards Din L-Art Ħelwa to help the NGO run such venues, including their upkeep and any possible restoration from time to time.
