The Red Tower, also known as St Agatha’s Tower, is a distinctive watchtower situated at the crest of Marfa ridge overlooking Mellieħa’s Għadira Bay, together with the below nature reserve and bird sanctuary. Built in 1649, the Red Tower has historic significance, being the only means of defence in the North of the island during those times.
